uuumm.....forgive me for the TEARS

Tears in Heaven

This week is really difficult! It all comes down to ONE day....Sunday. The one and only Mother's Day. I am a mother and LOVE it when my daughter makes me a card. It is filled with love and created from the heart!

I am a daughter-in-law and LOVE my mil so very much. She is a TRUE Blessing to have in my life ~ so wise and caring.

But I am also a daughter......however.....my momma is with the Lord. This is my first Mother's Day without my momma....and well....I am beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed. I can cry at anything one minute and laugh the next. I will probably be really snappy by this weekend.....not sure why that happens. I know my momma is with me always....and she knows that I LOVE her very much!

Oh Elly. Sweetie I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. My sister passed away 4 years ago and her birthday is a very hard day for me. As well I have a friend whose mom has been gone for 10 years and mother's day is still hard. So your first mother's day with out your mom is a perfectly natural time to grieve.

That is so hard. My husband's mother died in a car accident 3 weeks before our son was born. It was and is so difficult for all of us, but especially my poor husband. I know it is hard for him to see our children with my parents, because it's a reminder of what could have been with his mom. Hang in there. It's good that you have faith, you know you will see her again someday.

I cry easily too. Loss, love, hurt -- I used to resent my tears and how easily they come. I've learned to give thanks to God for giving me a heart that feels deeply -- for the things I hold dear in my own life but also for the things that touch and cause tears in others too. Too many mean heartless selfish folks out there -- no thank you, don't want to be one of them! Your Mom's with you. Smile when you think of that thru the tears. You ARE so blessed to have a Janie too. You've had the gift of 2 examples of great Moms in your life. Bailey benefits from all that you've known thru them too. All the 1sts are the hardest (Mother's Day, Birthdays, etc.) but I've learned to pray it never gets easy. Love ya & will think of you on this particular Mother's Day.

This must be an incredibly difficult weekend for you. I'm so sorry. Take comfort in the love that you shared and wrap yourself in the knowledge that it extends beyond our mortal limits.
